Employees to receive days off, if are vaccinated against Covid-19 in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - The employees will benefit from more support measures on the period of the emergency state in the public health sector. The parliament today adopted a draft on the amendment of the Labour Code in the first reading.
The draft sees that, if the education process is held online, with the employer’s agreement, days off will be provided to one of the parents or the tutor, for supervising the children. On this period, the employee will receive an allowance equal to at least 50 per cent of the basic salary. The provisions refer to the parents whose children have an age up to 12 years and the ones who have disabled children.
The draft approved sees also other facilities for the employed people. For instance, if technological unemployment is declared, as a result of the restrictions imposed by the emergency state in the public health sector, the employees will receive an allowance paid partially or fully from the state budget.
To implement these social measures, the draft’s authors envisaged expenses worth 285 million lei for the last quarter of this year.
