As many as 1,289 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,451 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,289 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Sixteen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 295,681 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 17 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (4 physicians, 6 medical assistants and 7 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,852 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 155 are in extremely serious condition and 18 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,503 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,969 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,463 people have been treated. As many as 279,122 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 26 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,803 people have died of coronavirus in all.
