Presidents of Moldova, Slovenia discuss with group of young people, plant trees at Botanical Garden

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - The today’s visit by President of Slovenia continued with a discussion held by Maia Sandu and Borut Pahor with a group of lyceum pupils from Chisinau, among which also representatives of the national council of pupils, the presidential press service has reported.
„Assembled at Europe Cafe, the young people shared their vision about the future of Moldova. According to the pupils, the country’s development agenda must be friendlier to the environment, in order to provide a chance to the quality life of the next generations. We also discussed the effect of the technologies, which can produce, in the long run, deep changes in the people’s lives,’’ the Moldovan president said.
Traditionally, in the end of the visit, the two heads of state went to the Botanical Garden, where they planted a small bush of hawthorn each, as a token of friendship between Moldova and Slovenia. ‘’The hawthorn in a strong shrub, which grows with a rich crown, with flowers and fruits; so, we want the relations between our countries to be enhanced in the same way,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
