The official referred to the correspondence on the phone of the former head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, deciphered with Europol's support.
He informed that Viorel Morari's phone was picked up in early 2020, and for over a year it was deciphered by Europol. Stoianoglo said that, according to several messages in November -December 2019, several actions were taken to discredit him.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General said "in the concerted attack operation" against him would be involved several non-governmental organizations and the press, supported by "foreign financiers", as well as ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Moldova. Alexandr Stoianoglo gave several names and read from the messages on Morari's phone.
Stoianoglo said "a lot of money was put into play to put these attacks into practice", and the respective materials were sent to the specialized prosecutor's offices for "appreciation of the actions".
He said that Vladimir Plahotniuc, Ilan Shor and Gheorghe Cavcaliuc will be brought to justice and will be tried. Referring to Veaceslav Platon, Stoainoglo said that he did not understand why he fled, because he had no reason, and at the time he left for London no document was issued that would have forbidden him to do so.
