Fire station to be installed near COVID Center at Moldexpo

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/- The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations / IGSU / will install a Fire and Rescue Station near the COVID Center at Moldexpo. The fire surveillance decision was taken by the IGSU management, after a discussion with the officials of the COVID Center.

According to IGSU data, the station will be installed starting with October 5 and will be designed to ensure security in exceptional situations, but also to prevent possible risk situations.

It will operate 24 hours a day while the number of patients in the Center will increase. A similar decision was made in the spring of 2021, when rescuers and firefighters watched over the safety of patients for 24 hours for several months.

According to official data, today 929 people (adults and children) are hospitalized, confirmed with COVID-19 infection, of which 44 people are in extremely serious condition.
