129 wanted persons detained following special operation

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/- On September 29-30, the General Inspectorate of Police carried out a special operation Wanted throughout the country. As a result, there were 129 people.
According to the National Investigation Inspectorate, the action took place in the territory of the CIS member states and aimed to intensify the search for criminals who evade the criminal prosecution, trial, deserters, convicted fugitives or evading execution criminal punishment, the search for missing persons without news and the identification of corpses with unknown identities.
As a result of the actions, the investigation officers, together with the police officers from all over the country, detained 129 people on the territory of the country, of which 66 were detained for committing serious crimes (bodily injury, rape, theft, robbery, hooliganism, scams and illegal traffic of drugs).
Out of the detainees, 54 were searched in previous years, and eight were wanted by law enforcement officials in the Russian Federation.
