Moldova willing to deepen Strategic Dialogue with United States

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu met U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central and Eastern Europe Robin Dunningan at the headquarters of the Presidency today, the presidential press service has reported.
„We discussed problems faced by Moldova’s citizens and the country’s development agenda, promoted by the current governance. I received assurances by Mrs. Dunningan of the support on behalf of the United States for the carrying out of this agenda,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
Also, the head of state and the Washington official discussed the Moldovan-American bilateral relations, including the programmes on assistance for development, financed by the USA in Moldova.
„I thanked for the generous support provided by the United States for the development of our communities and more local industries, as well as for the solidarity assistance which we received in the fight against the pandemic. In the context, I stressed that Moldova was willing to deepen the Strategic Dialogue with the USA, one of our principal development partners,’’ Maia Sandu added.
