As many as 1,078 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,246 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,078 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Twelve out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 298,310 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 30 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (10 physicians, 14 medical assistants and 6 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,820 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 148 are in extremely serious condition and 13 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,732 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,493 are under supervision at home.

Another 893 people have been treated. As many as 281,647 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 23 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,877 people have died of coronavirus in all.
