Chisinau city hall wants to offer 400 public transport waiting stations

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau is examining the possibility of managing 400 public transport waiting stations under municipal management.

The general directorate of economy, trade and tourism of the mayor's office will present, by the end of this week, to the head of the municipal administration a concept that he works together with the deputy mayors, responsible for legal and economic fields, regarding the transmission of privately managed stations. free of charge, with the right to place advertising in exchange for the maintenance of these objectives.

According to Mayor Ion Ceban, the examination of this possibility arose as a result of the increase in the number of cases of vandalism of new waiting stations for public transport and the high costs incurred by the municipality to maintain the 400 waiting stations it manages.

In Chisinau, the city and the suburbs, there are about 700 waiting stations for public transport, of which 300 are managed by the company EPA-MEDIA, and the rest - by local authorities.
