National Volunteer Week held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- The National Volunteer Week takes place in Chisinau on October 3-10.

The event is organized by the Municipal Youth Center within the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports and takes place under the title "Change begins with volunteering".

The agenda of events includes many activities in which volunteers will exchange good practices between institutions involving young people in such actions. Also, during this week, public discussions, trainings, information sessions, sanitation actions, working visits, excursions etc. will be organized. In addition to the activities mentioned, there will be a marathon of volunteers, in which participants can perform a volunteer action. Those wishing to participate in the marathon must fill in a Google form by October 8.

The most active volunteers and youth organizations will be awarded diplomas of merit from the Chisinau City Hall, as a sign of high appreciation for their contribution to community development.

During the National Volunteer Week, civic activism is promoted among young people, as well as other actions meant to use the potential of those involved in various volunteer activities.
