European Investment Bank to support construction of new hospital in Balti

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today had a working meeting with the head of the Office of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Chisinau, Alberto Carlei, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

In the context of the cooperation between Moldova and EIB, PM Gavrilita and Alberto Carlei reviewed the projects underway, especially the ones on the restoration of inter-urban roads and the railway infrastructure. Locally, the officials discussed another important project dealing with the energy efficiency and thermal insulation of public buildings and blocks of flats from Chisinau. The project’s goals is to repair and thermally insulate 22 buildings.

As for the agenda of future cooperation with the European Investment Bank, the two officials discussed the need to update the feasibility study for the modernization of the infrastructure in the health sector, especially the construction of a new hospital in Balti.
