Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) today nominated a prosecutor, who will consider the lawfulness of more actions undertaken by Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo, contained in a notification submitted by an MP of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS).
After several hours of contradictory discussions, the CSP members ruled that the notification by a PAS lawmaker, Lilian Carp, against Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo would be examined by prosecutor Victor Furtuna.
„CSP nominated prosecutor Victor Furtuna, prosecutor at the Anticorruption Prosecution Office, to consider the aspects invoked in the notification by Moldovan MP, head of the commission for national security Lilian Carp on alleged illegal actions committed by Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo,’’ CSP head Angela Motuzoc said.
Alexandr Stoianoglo came to the CSP meeting and brought a written explanation for the Council’s members.
In his notification, PAS lawmaker Lilian Carp brought more charges to the prosecutor general.
