As many as 1,533 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,440 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,533 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Fourteen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 299,843 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 37 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (16 physicians, 13 medical assistants and 8 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,703 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 222 are in extremely serious condition and 35 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,638 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,044 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,215 people have been treated. As many as 282,862 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 24 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,901 people have died of coronavirus in all.
