Coronavirus diseases rate constantly increasing in Chisinau

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- In Chisinau there is a steady increase in the number of COVID-19 diseases.

Mayor Ion Ceban said at today's online meeting of the municipality's services that he will request the supplementation of the number of beds for the treatment of coronavirus patients. “All the hospital institutions of Chisinau municipality where COVID-19 patients are cured are overworked. Increasing the number of coronavirus patients in the city requires supplementing the number of treatment places.

According to the mayor, at the moment, 868 patients confirmed with coronavirus are treated in municipal hospitals, of which 45 people are in a very serious condition and 494 - in a serious condition.

"We will quickly reach the situation where we will not have where to hospitalize patients in critical condition. I remind you that, in this pandemic, the municipal hospitals have tripled the number of intensive care beds ", he said.

According to him, health experts have forecast a large daily number of coronavirus cases for October.
