Balti University hosted final meeting of consortium of European project

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- Alecu Russo State University of Balti (USARB) hosted last week the final meeting of a SMART project, co-financed by the ERASMUS + program of the European Union.
The event was attended by representatives of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Northern Regional Development Agency (ADR), the Free Economic Zone (ZEL) Balti, the DRÄXLMAIER group, the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI), the National Erasmus + Offices in Armenia, Republic of Moldova, SMART project partner institutions.
During the conference, entitled Promoting university cooperation - enterprise and student entrepreneurship, organized by Valentina Prițcan, vice-rector of USARB, the guests highlighted several topics that outlined the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the specifics of economic development in Balti and the Region of Northern Development of Moldova. In this context, Maria Prisacari, director of ADR Nord, referred to the competitive advantages and development prospects of the North Development Region.
Also, the representatives of the universities of the Republic of Moldova, Armenia and Belarus presented their own experiences of collaboration with companies, emphasized the role of universities in cultivating talents, how industry-university cooperation strengthens the practical training of students.
During the event, Valentina Prițcan presented the SMART Cafe of the University of Bălţi, told about the way the Entrepreneurship Schools were organized at the University with the motto Be SMART with USARB. Designed as open workspaces, SMART Cafes are intended for students and university graduates who have promising ideas, but lack the experience and resources to realize their potential, said the vice-rector of USARB.
