Moldovan parliament speaker says leadership determined to fulfill promises made to citizens

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today had a meeting with Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Roelof Van Ees, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
At the meeting, the speaker referred to the priorities of the parliament of the 11th legislative period, among which there is the justice reformation and ensuring the observance of the human rights. ‘’We have an ambitious agenda and we are determined in the implementation of the promises made to the citizens,’’ Igor Grosu said.
The two officials also discussed the support provided to Moldova during time as regards the strengthening of the democracy, the country’s modernization, as well as the fight against Covid-19.
In this respect, the Dutch diplomat expressed willingness to provide assistance and expertise.
In the end, the participants in the meeting agreed on boosting the bilateral cooperation both at the level of parliament speakers and of heads of parliamentary commissions.
