Over 16,000 people call ambulance in Moldova in last week-end

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - Emergency medical assistance teams provided first medical aid to 16,664 people on 4-10 October
According to data by the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP), respiratory emergencies represented the most frequent for calls – 5,654.
As many as 2,710 calls were cardiovascular emergencies, 1,934 calls – neurology emergencies and 1,192 ones – traumatology ones.
Ambulance physicians intervened in 197 patients with cerebral vascular accidents and 41 patients with heart attacks. Emergency medical assistance teams served 1,687 patients with acute viral infections, and the presumptive diagnosis of flu was established for 1,785 people.
Ambulance was called in the case of 45 traffic accidents, in the wake of which 52 people were hit, among whom six children.
At the same time, the Emergency Service received 37 calls on grounds of toxic emergencies, among which 14 intoxications with medication and 11 ones with alcohol.
