Moldovan composer would have turned 70

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- Composer, director and performer of light music Mihai Toderașcu, People's Artist, would have turned 70 today.
Over the years, he has written music for several singers: Olga Ciolacu, Nina Crulicovschi, Ion Suruceanu, Anișoara Puică, Aurel Margine, Stela Argatu, Adrian Ursu, Romeo Zaharia etc. He collaborated with poets: Ion Vatamanu, Ion Hadârcă, Serafim Belicov, Leonida Lari, Lora Rucan, Arcadie Suceveanu and others. He also evolved as a performer, having in his record several songs composed by him.
He initiated and organized several musical performances.
For his activity, Mihai Toderașcu was awarded the honorary titles Master of Art and People's Artist of the Republic of Moldova.
He passed away on November 7, 2012, in Chisinau.
