Moldsilva Agency not to increase price of firewood

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- The Moldsilva agency has launched a campaign to provide people with firewood without raising prices, and is stepping up the process of public communication for citizens' access to the institution's information.

According to Moldsilva, prices for firewood delivered to the market will not be increased in the cold season this year. "Firewood will be traded at last year's prices, and citizens' access will be facilitated through various actions," the agency said.

The stock available for sale of firewood, harvested after all mandatory forestry works within the forest fund under management, will be traded in the following order of priorities: for the firewood needs of the population, based on requests from the administration local and / or personal public - by direct sale; for the own consumption of the units of local interest financed entirely or partially from the state budget and / or the local budget (town halls, schools, kindergartens, objects of social-cultural purpose, etc.), which do not carry out economic activity - through direct sale; for the own consumption of the forest fund managers, public property of the state and / or of other categories of applicants.

At the same time, for the efficient organization of providing the population with firewood, the Moldsilva Agency sent to all local public authorities (district level) the necessary and detailed information. The directors of the subordinated forestry entities (territorial enterprises) will systematically organize meetings with the participation of communities and local authorities, in order to establish the necessary measures to ensure the compliance and full volume of priority applicants with firewood, based on available stock. For the same purpose, the centralized list of potential beneficiaries / applicants for firewood will be requested from the administrative-territorial units.

Moldsilva reiterates the willingness to cooperate to provide citizens with firewood during the cold period of the year, but warns that the priority regime and unchanged prices are available only at the warehouses of state forestry enterprises subordinated to the agency.
