Poland to support project to expand forest areas in Gagauzia

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- Possibilities to implement in Gagauzia with the support of the Polish government projects in environmental protection, especially the implementation of a program to increase forest areas in the region were examined at yesterday meeting between bashkan Irina Vlah and Adam Eberhardt, special representative of Prime Minister of Poland for supporting reforms in Moldova.
The parties agreed that this program is an acute need to reduce the risks associated with the effects of global warming on the agricultural sector.
The governor thanked the Polish authorities for supporting the socio-economic development of autonomy, noting that the internal resources of autonomy are not sufficient to determine the necessary pace of development.
Irina Vlah and the official from Warsaw discussed the future visit of the autonomy leadership in one of the regions of Poland. The visit aims to stimulate the exchange of experience in attracting investment in the development of the industrial sector of the economy.
