Moldova to sign memorandum of understanding with European Parliament

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan Parliament and European Parliament will sign a Memorandum of Understanding which will include joint actions on several areas of cooperation.
The decision was taken at a meeting between Speaker Igor Grosu and Dragoș Tudorache, rapporteur of the Foreign Policy Committee for implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement in European Parliament and coordinator of the European Parliament's activities to support parliamentary democracy in Moldova.
The speaker said that the document will be an important political signal in our relationship with the EU. The officials also referred to the priorities of the new Parliament, in particular, the fight against corruption, the justice reform. "We want functional institutions in the state, which, regardless of the political situation, work for the benefit of the people," said Igor Grosu.
The projects carried out in the Chisinau Legislature with the support of the EU were reviewed at the meeting.
