Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Romanian counterpart

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu, on a working visit to Bucharest, today had a meeting with Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
At the meeting, the officials discussed the bilateral cooperation and the consistent support provided by Romania for Moldova’s agenda of reforms and the European integration process, as well as the possibility of advancing, in the near future, in the preparation of a roadmap of a new agreement on non-refundable assistance.
„We want infrastructure projects, from which citizens of Moldova and Romania are to benefit – first of all, railway, road infrastructure, including the construction of bridges between the two banks of Prut,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
At the same time, the two diplomacy heads tackled subjects on the boosting of the initiatives concerning the energy interconnections and speeding up the process of liberalization of the prices for roaming conversations between the two countries.
Minister Bogdan Aurescu repeatedly expressed the Romanian side’s willingness to back the advancement of the concrete bilateral projects, which are to produce positive impact in Moldova, thus supporting the reforms’ agenda and the economic recovery promoted by the Moldovan authorities.
