Eugen Doga Cultural Centre to be set up in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today approved the setting up of a Cultural Centre dedicated to composer Eugen Doga.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, proposed this project to the municipal councilors. The mayor said that the cultural centre would be created in an abandoned building, with an area of 228 square metres, placed at the intersection of the Vasile Alecsandri and Veronica Micle streets. The Culture Department will manage the new structure.
Ceban noted that he had discussed this project with Eugen Doga, who backed the initiative.
According to the project approved by the municipal councilors, a technical expertise of the concerned building will be made and then decision-makers will elaborate the project of the future centre and will allocate money from the municipal budget for the building’s renovation. The Chisinau city hall will ask for the support of the Culture Ministry for carrying out this project.
