Moldovan authorities launch mechanism on distance monitoring of COVID-19 patients

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Ministry, in cooperation with the 112 Service, today launched a project on the distance monitoring of the patients infected with Covid-19, the contacts and the patients placed in self-isolation.
Attending the launch event was Health Minister Ala Nemerenco.
The official noted that the monitoring system would allow relieving the situation in the medical system and the medical resources would be thus used more efficiently.
Students of the sixth year of the Medical University are involved in the project’s elaboration, as well as in its implementation. They will phone patients and monitor them according to an algorithm established by the Health Ministry, on different periods: 48, 72 hours, seven, ten says.
The Health Ministry’s leadership said that a mobile application on monitoring the COVID-19 patients would be started on the next period.
As many as 308,724 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus have been recorded in Moldova so far.
