Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- Specialized international exhibitions MOLDAGROTECH (39th issue) and FARMER (24th issue), as well as the Golden Autumn Fair were inaugurated today on the territory of a shopping center in Chisinau.
Attending the event was Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Viorel Gherciu, who came with a message for agricultural producers and suppliers of agricultural machinery, wishing them "to record bottom-up results and a proactive work environment."
"Agricultural exhibitions have a substantial role to play in the exchange of practices between farmers. At the same time, today's event determines the vector of development of the local agro-industrial complex, bringing together over 50 exhibitors from five countries. In this way, collaborations are expanded and new business relationships are created. As a result, agricultural producers are becoming more competitive and can benefit from more business promotion tools. The Ministry focuses its efforts on attracting foreign investment and on the efficient capitalization of national funds aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development ", he said.
According to the official, one of the essential levers is the provision of financial support, through the subsidy mechanism from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment. The largest share of applications from this fund, over 27 percent, goes to the subsidy of agricultural machinery, equipment and machinery.
Gherciu said that in 2020, the amount of subsidy from the state budget reached 293 million lei and that the ministry will direct its policies towards the constant increase of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment, towards comprehensive review of the areas of financial stimulation by the state, by providing support to as many beneficiaries as possible.
This year, the international specialized exhibitions MOLDAGROTECH and FARMER take place on October 13-16. The event is attended by about 50 companies from Belarus, Italy, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. The exhibitions are organized by Moldexpo in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the National Federation of Farmers of Moldova.
