Moldovan government approved list of National Award winners

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- Today, the Cabinet approved the list of winners of this year's National Prize. The winners were selected by secret ballot by the members of the Commission for the awarding of National Prize, during the last meeting, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Therefore, the 2021 National Award is given to the following personalities:
Ghenadie Jaloba, fine artist, for special merits in creating and promoting national culture;
Petru Neamțu, artistic director and first conductor of the Folk Music Orchestra Folklore of the National Philharmonic Serghei Lunchevici, People's Artist, for remarkable achievements in promoting the folklore treasure and developing the national music field;
Anastasia Nichita, international master of sports in women's wrestling, for sports performances and international promotion of the image of the Republic of Moldova;
Tudor Cîrlan, emeritus coach of the Republic of Moldova in wrestling, for his exceptional contribution to the promotion of Olympic values;
Maria Șleahtițchi, writer, PhD in philology, associate professor, for the poems included in the volumes “Fragile” and “Our love is a beautiful lady”;
Vitalie Ciobanu, writer, journalist, editor-in-chief of Contrafort Magazine, for the prose volume Days after Oreste;
The staff of the Public Institution National Theater Mihai Eminescu, for prodigious and valuable activity nationally and internationally.
Annually, the government awards up to 10 National Awards for outstanding achievements that have substantially enriched science, technology, culture, art and sport, contributed to the promotion of the country's positive image internationally and have had a considerable impact on technical and scientific and socio-economic progress, as well as culture sector.
