Documents for participation in new local elections can be submitted till 22 October in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) relieved the members of the first-level electoral councils from their permanent offices.
At a today’s meeting, the CEC members ruled to summon the members of the first-level constituency electoral councils and to approve their organization charts and apparatus, which is necessary for the organization and carrying out of the new local elections due on 21 November 2021. For this, the members of the electoral councils were relieved from their permanent positions.
At the same time, the electoral authority informed that the submission of the acts for the registration of the candidates for the mayor office in those 15 settlements of Moldova, where new local polls will be held, can be made till 22 October this year. The files for the registration of the candidates for mayor position are submitted to the electoral council of electoral constituency 30 days before the elections at the latest, i.e. on 22 October 2021. They will be considered during 7 days, with the decision on registration or refusal of the registration being adopted.
New local elections will take place in 15 settlements of Moldova, among which the Balti city, on 21 November 2021.
