Moldovan parliament amends state social insurances budget for 2021

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today adopted, in the final reading, a draft on amendment of the law on state social insurances budget for 2021.  

The document sees that the revenues and expenses of the state social insurances budget will be increased by 1,089,549.1 thousand lei and will amount to 27,490,068.2 thousand lei.  

The increase in the expenses of the state social insurances budget was triggered by more factors, such as: indexation by 3.86 per cent of the pensions and other social benefits starting from 1 October 2021, increase in the minimal pension up to 2,000 lei, etc. The expenses needed for increasing the minimal pension to 2,000 lei stand at 512,712 thousand lei. The pension will increase by 380 lei, on average, for about 308,406 beneficiaries. At the same time, the disability pension will grow by 334 lei for about 35,390 beneficiaries.     

Also, the social allocation increases for the people with a length of service shorter than 15 years and who thus do not meet the conditions for getting the right to state social insurances pension.

Also, there are more beneficiaries who receive allocations worth 500 lei at the most, provided for special merits for the state.
