Memorandum of understanding between Moldovan parliament, European Parliament might be signed till late 2021

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - A memorandum of understanding between Moldova’s parliament and the European Parliament might be signed till late 2021. A rapporteur of the Committee on Foreign Policy for the implementation of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement of the European Parliament (EP), coordinator of the EP’s activities for backing the parliamentary democracy in Moldova Dragos Tudorache made statements to this effect today.
Tudorache noted that, within the memorandum, assistance would be provided both in terms of technical aspects and as regards the professional education of the parliament’s employees, including through the organization of training probationaries.
The European official said that the justice reform, reform of the financial and banking system, implementation of the recommendations concerning the electoral process would be contained in the new agenda of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. He added that the European Union supported Moldova in managing the pandemic and might provide assistance for the energy crisis as well.
