Moldovan PM meets delegation of co-rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today met the co-rapporteurs for the fulfillment of the obligations and commitments by Moldova of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Inese Libina-Egnere and Pierre-Alain Fridez, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

Natalia Gavrilita highlighted the constructive partnership between Moldova and the Council of Europe. ‘’We consider that the CoE’s expertise is indispensable for the progress in the justice reform process and combating corruption, which are fields representing the priority No 1 of the Chisinau government,’’ the PM said.   

The prime minister reviewed the transformation processes launched by the Moldovan cabinet, as well as the documents already approved by the government for the reforms’ advancement.

At the same time, Natalia Gavrilita said that Moldova committed to fulfill the obligations assumed when joining the Council of Europe. She added that the authorities’ goal was the ending of the procedure of Moldova’s monitoring by PACE and the switch to another level of cooperation with PACE.
