As many as 1,666 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hour

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,736 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and1,666 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Nine out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 312,442 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 25 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (8 physicians, 7 medical assistants, 10 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,422 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 279 are in extremely serious condition and 44 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,725 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,486 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,387 people have been treated. As many as 292,877 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 32 deaths triggered by COVID-19and 7,137 people have died of coronavirus in all.
