Moldova wants to strengthen economic relations with Montenegro

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu received on Friday afternoon Goran Poleksić, Ambassador of Montenegro to Moldova, based in Bucharest.
According to the presidential press service, the officials referred to the need to boost the political-diplomatic dialogue between the two countries and to dynamize bilateral relations in various fields.
According to the head of state, the experience of Montenegro's EU candidate country may be useful for the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, Maia Sandu stressed the importance of the economic dimension, which offers a wide area of cooperation. These are both tourism and other areas, such as road infrastructure or renewable energy. In this context, the two officials mentioned the relevance of organizing a business forum with the participation of interested companies from both countries.
