Moldovan parliament to expand cooperation with Czech parliament

Chisinau, 19 Octber /MOLDPRES/- Parliament's priorities for the 11th legislature and ways to expand cooperation with the Czech Parliament were discussed at today's meeting between Speaker Igor Grosu and delegation of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Committee of the Senate of the Czech Parliament, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
Grosu spoke about the goals of the parliamentary majority, including the reform of the judiciary and the fight against corruption. "The vulnerability of a state depends on the fragility of institutions. That is why their reform is necessary ", he said.
Grosu took advantage of the meeting with Czech officials and thanked them for their support of our country. "In particular, I am referring to the aid provided to combat the Covid-19 pandemic - vaccine doses, equipment and protective materials," he said.
The speaker also highly appreciated the infrastructure projects implemented in different regions of Moldova with the support of Czech partners.
The delegation of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Committee of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic pays a visit to Chisinau on October 19-21. The program of the visit also includes meetings with chairmen of the standing committees of the Legislature, with other officials.
