Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has approved funds for carrying out a feasibility study in the sector of solid household waste’s management in the city.
At a today’s meeting, the municipal councilors considered the fulfillment of a decision from February 2020 on the improvement of the service of solid household waste management in the Chisinau city, which regards the opening of waste tubes and construction of household platforms.
Because of the delays in the building of these platforms, the project was extended for 2022 too.
According to information unveiled by the leadership of the Self-Sanitation Administration, 42 platforms were scheduled to be made in the similar number of locations of closed modular type this year; yet, the creation of platforms was possible only in 30 locations.
At the same time, the councilors approved funds for the carrying out of a feasibility study needed for launching the procedure of a public-private partnership in the household waste management.
