Hydrologists extended yellow code for low runoff into Prut River basin

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the low-flow hydrological warning in the Prut River basin until 26 October.

"In connection with lack of precipitation, the State Hydrometeorological Service warns that in the Prut river basin, on the sector of Criva village - Costesti city, the flow will be kept low by 45-50% of the multiannual average values", the institution said.

At the same time, the authorities call on businesses and population to consume water resources rationally.

Hydrological Yellow Code means that in a certain water basin there are risks that do not lead to significant damage, but require increased vigilance.
