Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law amending the state budget law for 2021 have been published in the Official Journal.

Thus, the revenues of the state budget were increased by about 3.7 billion lei (8.9%), the expenditures - by 1.2 billion lei (2.2%), respectively, the budget deficit decreased by 2.5 billion lei (16.8%).

The revised parameters of the state budget for 2021 are the following: revenues - in the amount of 45.1 billion lei, expenditures - in the amount of 57.2 billion lei, budget deficit - 12.1 billion lei.

The increase in revenues is mainly due to the increase in the collection of taxes, in particular - the Value Added Tax, as well as the increase in exports. The largest increases in expenditures relate to the Road Sector Program, the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development, the rehabilitation of local roads, the replacement of Government emergency funds, health care, staff costs.
