Four public transport corridors to be in Chisinau

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- Several streets in Chisinau will have traffic lanes dedicated to public transport.
Yesterday, deputy mayor of Chisinau Ilie Ceban signed an order on creation of several traffic lanes dedicated to public transport. Thus, in the testing regime, road lanes will be applied on the following traffic corridors: Alba Iulia street - Ion Creangă street - bd. Ștefan cel Mare şi Sfânt - str. Ciuflea - bd. Dacia; str. Calea Ieșilor - bd. Stephen the Great and Saint - bd. Constantin Negruzzi - bd. Iurie Gagarin - bd. Decebal; bd. Mircea cel Batran - str. Alecu Russo - Bogdan Voievod - bd. National Renaissance; str. Vasile Alecsandri - road. Hâncești - str. Gheorghe Asachi.
At the same time, the municipality of Chisinau informed that, at present, together with the National Police Inspectorate, the project sketch for the corridor str. Alba Iulia - str. Ion Creangă - bd. Ștefan cel Mare şi Sfânt - str. Ciuflea - bd. Dacia.
Previously, dedicated lanes for public transport were drawn on bd. Grigore Vieru - Mitropolit Bănulescu-Bodoni street and Alexandr Puşkin street.
The application of public transport lanes aims to increase the speed of public transport and to transport passengers to their destination in a timely manner.
