SMURD teams of Moldova help 68 patients from Romania

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Employees of the Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication (SMURD), who are on mission in Romania, have provided assistance to 68 patients put in the Saint Paraschiva Mobile Hospital from Iasi.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the para-physicians provided the needed support to those 22 Moldovan physicians detached on mission. They took care of 28 sick people at the intensive therapy section and 40 people hospitalized in the section of infectious diseases.
IGSU specialists today will make missions at the Emergency Reception Unit of the Holy Spiridon Hospital from Iasi. They will work in shifts of 12 hours and will help physicians provide assistance in the carrying out of transport of intra-hospital patients, as well as to provide assistance in medical procedures and examinations.
The cross-border mission of physicians and para-physicians from Moldova will last till 27 October 2021.
