More parties have delays in submitting financial reports to Central Electoral Commission in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - More political formations participating in the new local elections due on 21 November have failed to submit reports on the financing of the electoral campaign to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
At a today’s meeting, the CEC members took note of the information presented by ten political formations involved in the electoral race, held in 15 settlements on 21 November 2021. The central electoral authority found out that six political formations participating in the new local polls had not reported the situation as to the financing of the electoral campaign for 22 October.
Thus, CEC obliged the National Unity Party, Green Ecologist Party, Liberal Party, Moldova’s Patriots Party, Party of Working People and People’s Will Party to inform, in 24 hours, about the non-collection of incomes and non-carrying out of expenses at the situation from 22 October or about the fact that it would not open an account at the bank with the mention, Electoral Fund.
At the same time, the CEC members summoned the National Unity Party to submit, in a 24-hour period, the reports on the incomes and expenses in the electoral campaign at the situation on 15 October 2021.
The Central Electoral Commission warned the electoral contenders to observe the provisions of the law on the presentation of reports, informing about the opening or non-opening of the account and/or the informing about the inexistence of financial transactions, including to take into account the schedule of reporting, provided for by the calendar programme.
