National contest of book trailers nominates winners in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - An online festivity on awarding the participants in the national contest of book trailers #PriveșteCitește (#LookRead), held in June-October, took place at the Ion Creanga National Library for Children today.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the library’s director, Eugenia Bejan, said that this contest had the goal to stimulate the interest in books and reading, develop the creativity, critical thinking, technological, analysis and synthesis competences of pupils. ‘’By carrying out book trailers about the favourite books (a video clip for promoting the book), pupils showed both creative abilities and competences in the field of modern technologies. Sixty eight book trailers were presented at the contest in all and 96 pupils got involved in their creation,’’ Eugenia Bejan noted.

According to Bejan, the jury, made up of librarians, writers, TV specialists, ruled to award two prizes I, II and III, four special prizes and 22 mentions.

All laureates received diplomas and money prizes.
