Agreement on international occasional carriage of passengers by coach and bus signed in Brussels

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has signed the Agreement on the international occasional carriage of passengers by coach and bus, during a visit to the Belgian capital, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„For our passengers, this document, which is related to the international services of carriage of passengers by coach and bus, provides a higher degree of harmonization of the technical conditions applicable to the transport means which provide international occasional services on the territory of Europe,’’ the minister said.
The new protocol, signed in line with the provisions of the Association Agreement, gives opportunity to the carriers from Moldova to be able to conclude partnership agreements with representatives of transport companies from destination states.
At the same time, the sixth meeting of the European Union-Moldova Association Council, co-chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, is held today.
