Three projects for improving management of worn-out tyres to be carried out in Chisinau

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - Three enterprises from the Chisinau city, with activities in the field of recovery of sorted recyclable materials and manufacture of rubber products, will benefit from a grant support for the development of capacities of prevention, depositing, reuse, recycling and promotion of products with recycled content on market.  

The investments, worth about 48,000 euros, will be provided within a programme on grant related to the project titled, Improvement of the institutional and legal framework for the specific management of waste flows in Moldova, implemented by the Unit of implementation of projects in the environment sector within the project, Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova, and financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.   

The goal of the grant programme is to enhance the degree of awareness of the entire society and, in particular, of representatives of the private sector generators of specific flows of waste, about the importance of managing the waste of worn-out tyres, used oils and worn-out vehicles, in the context of the risks related to their inadequate use, against the background of the current capacities of collection and recycling, as well as for reasons of the major impact of the waste on people’s health.
