Moldova's Supreme Security Council comes up with recommendations to overcome crisis in energy sector

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Supreme Security Council (CSS) today held a meeting and came up with more recommendations for the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE). President Maia Sandu made statements to this effect at the end of the CSS meeting.
According to Sandu, the Supreme Security Council recommends that CSE undertakes measures to provide the medical institutions with alternative energy sources and the thermal energy supply stations should be provided with sufficient quantities of fuel. Also, CSS will recommend that the institutions diminish the consumption of energy and the structures in charge should create formulas and mechanisms of purchasing fuel oil, in order to supply the needed stocks for the work of the heating supply stations.
The head of state noted that she had asked for support in overcoming the crisis from the most important partners of Moldova and called on national solidarity. Maia Sandu also said that she had discussed more times the contract with Gazprom with Russia’s representatives, especially Dmitry Kozak. ‘’Our agreement was that, before discussing about a meeting at the level of the presidents, it is necessary that we make progress in settling the subjects which we have on the agenda. In continuation, we will make all efforts to advance on the bilateral agenda,’’ the Moldovan president added.
