Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law amending the Labor Code of Moldova No154/2003 were published in the Official Journal today.

Thus, if the educational process will take place online, once the competent authorities have ordered special measures to ensure the safety, protection of life and health of the population, with the consent of the employer, will be granted days off to one parent or guardian, for supervision of children. During this period, the employee will receive an indemnity equal to at least 50 percent of the basic salary.

The labor code will be supplemented by an article, which will allow the employer to establish a reduced activity regime, for at least a quarter of the total number of workers. The employees with reduced activity regime will be paid the salary according to the actual time provided, and the difference will be paid partially, from the state budget.

This law enters into force upon publication in the Official Journal of Moldova. The government within 30 days from the date of entry into force shall submit to parliament proposals for bringing the legislation into force in accordance with this law.
