As many as 653 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,415 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 653 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 5 out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 337,768 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 8 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (7 physicians, 0 medical assistants, 1 auxiliary staff).

As many as 2,124 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 157 are in extremely serious condition and 26 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 9,855 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,622 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,104 people have been treated. As many as 315,929 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 39 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 7,790 people have died of coronavirus in all.
