Moldovan citizens can get vaccinated against flu virus

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Flu vaccine has reached all Public Health Centers in the country. The Ministry of Health made the statement, urging people to be immunized.
The National Agency for Public Health received 50,000 doses of tetravalent GCFLU vaccine that were donated by the Task Force for Global Health and another 49,850 doses of vaccine that were procured from CNAM sources. The vaccine was stored in the National Vaccine Depot within the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), after which it was distributed proportionally in the Public Health Centers of the Republic of Moldova.
Subsequently, the serum will be transported, according to existing immunization plans, to medical institutions for vaccination of occupational contingents and groups at high risk of disease.
The tetravalent GCFLII vaccine can be given to people as young as six months old and is the safest and most effective way to prevent the flu. Likewise, the concomitant administration of the tetravalent GCFLU influenza vaccine and a dose of COVID-19 vaccine is permitted. In this case, the administration is done with different syringes and in different anatomical places.
According to ANSP data, to date, two cases of seasonal flu have been registered in our country.
