200 beds activated for COVID-19 treatment at Sfanta Treime hospital

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Sfânta Treime hospital in Chisinau activated 200 beds for the treatment of COVID-19, the total number of places for the treatment of the new coronavirus amounting to 1708 in the capital.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that he decided to activate 200 beds for the treatment of COVID-19 at the Sfânta Treime hospital in Chisinau. "At the moment, the total treatment capacity of COVID-19 existing in the municipal hospital institutions is 1708 places," Ceban said.

According to the mayor, there will be two intensive care units, which will have a total capacity of 36 seats.

Ceban said that in 2020, the Chisinau municipality spent 132 million lei for the management of the coronavirus pandemic.
