Almost two-year-old child murdered by young woman in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/ - An almost two-year-old child from the Moldovan capital has been murdered by a young woman, whom she was left to take care. A criminal file was opened in this case and the 19-year-old girl with her paramour were detained and run the risk of being imprisoned.   

According to the police, the small girl was killed most likely in the apartment rented by the young girl along with her paramour. Afterwards, the mutilated body of the small girl was carried to a forestry belt from the capital. Forensic physicians discovered many injuries and traumas on the girl’s body.    

According to the quoted source, the forensic expertise shows that the death came about in the wake of a cranio-cerebral injury and contusion of internal bodies.  

The police was alerted by the child’s mother, who on 27 October left her to be cared by the young woman. The crime, most probably, took place on 30 October and the small girl’s body was found on last Sunday.

The 19-year-old woman has antecedents and leads an amoral lifestyle and if found guilty, she runs the risk of being imprisoned for 20 years or to get life sentence.   

The statistics data unveiled by the police shows that, in the first nine months of 2021, 628 cases of children’s disappearance were recorded, of which three cases of death.
