Number of permits for construction doubled in Chisinau

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/- In the Republic of Moldova, the number of permits for the construction of residential buildings has increased.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September this year 3,279 building permits were issued for residential and non-residential buildings, increasing by 50.1% compared to the same period last year.

In January-September 2021, 2,442 building permits were issued for residential buildings and 837 permits for non-residential buildings, increasing by 62.2% and 23.3%, respectively, compared to the first 9 months of 2020.

Most permits for the construction of residential buildings were registered in the following regions: Chisinau municipality (+761 permits or 2.2 times more), North (+25 or + 12.6%), Center (+145 or + 39.7%), South (+25 or + 21.6%). At the same time, in Gagauzia were issued with 20 building permits for residential buildings or 11.8% less compared to the respective period of the previous year.
