About 16,000 patients called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ -On 25-31 October, emergency medical teams provided first aid to 15,856 people.
According to the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance, the most frequently requested ambulance was the citizens with respiratory emergencies - 5,140 people, followed by patients with cardiac problems (2,658) and those with neurological emergencies (1,823).
The ambulance doctors also intervened in 206 patients with strokes and 51 patients with myocardial infarction. At the same time, the AMU teams were requested for 1,078 people with various injuries, including 66 patients who suffered as a result of road accidents on the country's routes.
During the same period, the emergency medical teams provided first aid to 12 people intoxicated with carbon monoxide, 11 with alcohol and eight - with drugs.
